Malaysia's Vehicle Entry Permit is issued by the Road Transport Department for foreign vehicles entering Malaysia. Use the official JPJ portal for registration and account matters.

Start only at the official portal

Visit vep.jpj.gov.my. Check the portal's current requirements, notices and appointment instructions before submitting details or travelling to a collection centre.

Do not confuse the two systems

Prepare information carefully

Vehicle registration, ownership and contact details should match the supporting records you submit. If a vehicle, owner, passport or account detail has changed, follow the portal's current update process instead of creating conflicting records.

Before departure

Check the official portal status, carry the documents required for your journey and review current checkpoint traffic. Registration rules and enforcement arrangements can change, so the JPJ portal remains the controlling source.
