MyICA QR code clearance at Woodlands and Tuas

Travellers using Singapore's land checkpoints by car, motorcycle, lorry or bus can generally present a QR code generated in the MyICA mobile app instead of handing over passports at the counter. Important exceptions and passport-carrying rules still apply.

Before reaching the checkpoint

  1. Download the official MyICA mobile app.
  2. Create or update each traveller profile using current passport details.
  3. Generate an individual or group QR code before arriving at the clearance booth.
  4. Check the QR code expiry shown in the app and regenerate it when necessary.

Who should expect to show a passport?

ICA lists exceptions including first-time foreign visitors entering Singapore and travellers re-entering Singapore with a different passport from their previous visit. Officers may also request passports for verification.

At the checkpoint

Use the generated QR code at the applicable car, motorcycle, lorry, bus or bus-passenger lane. Keep the phone ready before reaching the booth and follow the instructions displayed by ICA officers and equipment.
