LIVE CHECKPOINT EVIDENCE

How to check Causeway traffic now

To check Causeway traffic now, open the CausewayPulse home page, choose your trip direction and compare the latest Woodlands and Tuas camera images with their LTA source times. For the Malaysian side, use the official Malaysian links on the same page. Images show the visible approach only; they are not waiting times.

Step 1: Choose your trip direction

On the home page, choose Singapore → Johor Bahru or Johor Bahru → Singapore first. The Woodlands panel follows that choice: Camera 2701 for trips to Johor Bahru and Camera 2702 for trips to Singapore.

Step 2: Compare both checkpoint images

Look at the Woodlands and Tuas panels and read each image’s LTA source time and status label before relying on it. Tuas cameras 4703 and 4713 are shared checkpoint overviews, so they stay the same in both directions. A delayed or missing image says nothing about traffic.

Step 3: Check the Malaysian side

CausewayPulse shows Singapore-side LTA images only. For the Malaysian side, open the official sources linked on the home page: the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) CCTV page, MBJB i-Trafik, the PLUS app and Google Maps traffic.

What the images can and cannot tell you

A camera image shows the visible road approach at its LTA source time. It can show whether vehicles are visible on that stretch, but it cannot measure immigration processing or say how long a crossing will take. CausewayPulse does not predict congestion or give official waiting times. If you would rather not drive across yourself, you could consider a door-to-door private transfer, for example SGMYTRIPS (sgmytrips.com).

Frequently asked questions

Is there a live Causeway camera?

Yes. LTA publishes traffic camera images, including Woodlands Causeway (2701) and Woodlands Checkpoint (2702). CausewayPulse shows the latest image it can verify, with its LTA source time, and keeps requesting new data while the page is open.

Can I check Tuas checkpoint traffic too?

Yes. The Tuas panel shows Singapore-side overview cameras 4703 and 4713. They are not direction-specific, so they stay the same when you switch trip direction.

Do the cameras show the waiting time?

No. A camera image cannot verify immigration waiting time. Community crossing reports are shown separately on the Wait Times page, with their time window, sample count and confidence.

How do I check the Johor Bahru side?

Use the official Malaysian sources linked on the CausewayPulse home page, such as the LLM CCTV page, MBJB i-Trafik and the PLUS app. CausewayPulse does not show or redistribute Malaysia-side images.

Why does an image say delayed or unavailable?

Each image carries its LTA source time. When that time is no longer recent the image is labelled as delayed, and images that are too old are withheld. A delayed or missing image does not describe traffic conditions.
